Further into the cave, in a space where the sound of falling water echoed loudly, Yuuzen found Mary.
Yuuzen	"I didn't think ya'd gone this far."
Mary	"This place's big, so I wanted to have a little look. Where's Miyako and Conductor?"
Yuuzen	"I told them to take some more rest."
Mary	"I hope they've had enough rest. Shall we leave now?"
Yuuzen	"Wait, Mary."
Yuuzen	"It's just ya and me here. It's about time we had a talk?"
Mary	"Yuuzen..."
Mary	"......"
Mary	"What do think of the place this Mist created, Yuuzen?"
Yuuzen	"That would be the world in Bluerose's eyes."
Mary	"The village... in the city centre is where I visited with Bluerose together, so at first I thought it was Bluerose's world too."
Mary	"But every place I've seen was also places where I had regrets. So I started to think that maybe this was my world - Mary Rosegarden's world."
Mary	"You might think that's ridiculous. But I'm sure it is. I was convinced when I came to this cave. Because this is the one place Bluerose hasn't visited."
Yuuzen	"Ya came here as Acting Knight Commander of the Order, yes?"
Mary	"Yes. That's why this world created by this Phantom Mist is all created to reflect my mind."
Yuuzen	"How can ya be that stupid?"
Mary	"It's as if the spirits of the people I couldn't save are here to haunt me. No, I'm sure they are."
Mary	"If I had cut through the rain-flooded river instead of diverting to another path, I could have saved the people who escaped into this cave. I gave up that chance myself."
Yuuzen	"That's not a reason to blame you. It's just suicide to cross a flooding river. If you had tried to force your way across, you would have been swept away, wiped out, and in the end you wouldn't have been able to save the villagers."
Mary	"But the victims actually hate the Order, they hate me. That's why they're attacking us."
Mary	"Looking back, what a lot of lives I've spilled... What 'Legendary Knight Commander'?."
Yuuzen	"What are ya talking about? Get a grip. Mary."
Mary	"Not that we haven't been defeated by Mist Monsters. Winning a battle doesn't equal saving someone. That's why I'm not even my best frie--"
Yuuzen	"MARY!"
Mary	"...Yuuzen."
Yuuzen	"When I look at this Hell of a world, when I think back to ya and the journey we took together, it's beyond obvious that ya've worked so hard. Nobody asked for more than that, and if they do, I'll beat them up."
Yuuzen	"That's how far ya've come, ya've done things that nobody else can do. That's something to be proud of."
Mary	"Then... What is this world then? If this is not a place of reckoning for my path, then what is it?"
Yuuzen	"Of course - this is Bluerose's world. Because Bluerose was seen first. Ya only found out about it afterwards, correct?"
Mary	"Yes, but... But I told you she didn't come here."
Yuuzen	"Are you sure about that? Bluerose must have received yer report. And from what ya told me, she was more saddened by the deaths than anyone else."
Yuuzen	"I'll ask ya on that. Don't you think Bluerose would have been heartbroken by this happening in her absence?"
Mary	"Bluerose, was the most supportive Knight Commander of all time. I'm absolutely sure she was heartbroken..."
Mary	"So she, she revisited this place alone...?"
Yuuzen	"Only ya would know that."
Mary	"Bluerose... you..."
Yuuzen	"Well, what do ya think? Ya modelled yerself after Bluerose, ya admired her, Mary."
Mary	"Of course, of course she would come here... I'm sure she's gone off on her own, as she always does, to mourn the victims in this cave."
Mary	"Yes, that's what Knight Commander Bluerose would-"
Mary muttered as if she realized everything.
At that moment, a blue light burst into space.
Yuuzen	"Is this light...?"
"The blue light gradually converged on a point in the air and eventually formed a blue jewelled necklace.
Mary	"That necklace was worn by Bluerose before..."
Yuuzen	"So ya got it figured it all out, Mary. Bluerose certainly visited this place too. She showed ya."
Mary	"So this really is Bluerose's world."
Mary	"-Then I have something I have to do."
Mary muttered emphatically and reached out to take the necklace. But just before it touched her fingertips, it fizzled and disappeared into mist.
Instead, the girl she had seen before was standing on the other side of where the necklace had been.
Mary	"Yes, you were there too."
The girl disappeared into the darkness at the back with a sad look on her face, in response to Mary's question.
Yuuzen	"Did you find out who that girl was?"
Mary	"Yes. That was probably--"
Miyako	"Yuuzen-san, Mary-san, we're in trouble! There's a large number of Wandering Lives!"
Miyako appeared with Conductor, out of breath. Listening carefully, there's sounds of countless footsteps.
Yuuzen	"Mary, do you know the way ahead?"
Mary	"Of course. I'm going after that girl."
Mary jumped into the darkness without hesitation so that she could emulate Bluerose, who was close to people.
