-The Mt. Ooe Daiyaki Disaster.
The gruesome disaster occurred on Mt. Ooe in Nishiki, where a vicious oni inhabited the mountain and went around killing the mountain folks one after another.
The incident occurred during a ceremony at the foot of Mt. Ooe. A divine beast priest couple had given birth to a child, and Ooenomiya was praying for the child's growth.
The ward-warded temple was suddenly hit by a huge, evil Phantom Mist. What emerged from the Mist was a gigantic oni so large that it could grab a human being with one hand. It was later called 'Daiyaki', the strongest and worst oni in Nishiki's history.
Dozens of skilled warriors were guarding the temple, but they were no match for Daiyaki and all of them died. Ooenomiya's close friends, the beast priest and his wife, were also killed beyond their strength.
Ooenomiya fought Daiyaki while protecting the baby, but was caught in a moment of weakness, and Daiyaki took the baby away from her in the blink of an eye. Ooenomiya then recruited a death squad from among her disciples and pursued Daiyaki to save the baby.
Ooenomiya	"I cannot defeat him alone, I will use the full power of Mt. Ooe to defeat Daiyaki. I, Ooenomiya, will take back Amanohashidate even at the cost of my life!"
At the heart of the death squad were Ooenomiya's close associates.
The veteran martial artist - Futamata the First.
The sword prodigy - Karakawa the First.
And then, the best sorceress in Nishiki - Shimoamazu the First.
After a battle to the death, Ooenomiya succeeded in taking off Daiyaki's head. However, Daiyaki tried to transfer his soul to Ooenomiya's body through a posthumous curse he had placed on himself.
--If Ooenomiya becomes the next Daiyaki, not only Mt. Ooe, but Nishiki will be destroyed as well.
An unavoidable attack of a posthumous curse. Ooenomiya's techniques cannot prevent that curse. Everyone present prepared for the worst.
In such a desperate situation, in a split second, there was a sorceress who used a forbidden technique to transfer Daiyaki's soul to another body and sealed it away.
--She was Shimoamazu the First.
And the vessel she chose to host Daiyaki was... Amanohashidate. The very daughter of the deceased beast priestess whom the death squad had risked their lives to save.
Thanks to the resourcefulness of Shimoamazu the First, Mt. Ooe was protected. However, it was not a complete victory, and a new battle for Mt. Ooe began when Daiyaki's soul was left in a mortal's body.
After the battle, Shimoamazu the First's expression darkened. She regretted that she had not chosen her own body as Daiyaki's vessel. In order to repent over her regret, Shimoamazu the First stayed in a cave with weak wards and continued to hone her skills in sorcery...
Yakutsk	"This is Shimoamazu-no-Iwato, and we're told Yoshino is deep inside here."
Vivienne	"This place is just as they've saod. It's leaking magic. Is it really safe here?"
Paddington	"Shimoamazu-no-Iwato. This is the place where Shimoamazu the First trained to discipline herself after sealing Daiyaki."
Paddington	"The inside of Iwato is almost free from Phantom Mist because of the wards created by Shimoamazu the First. However, it is very dangerous because Shimoamazu the First sometimes intentionally breaks the wards. Entry by visitors is strictly forbidden."
Queensway	"Deliberately breaking wards... must be for training."
Yakutsk	"What safe place? Darn Ooenomiya. It means this place's dangerous without Shimoamazu the First's wards."
Paddington	"However, during the 'Shimoamazu-no-Iwato Tour', which takes place during the holiday season, special access is granted. If you have the luck, the energy and the talent for sorcery, you might even get to meet Shimoamazu the First! Everyone is welcome to join us - Mt. Ooe Tourist Association".

Miyako	"You'll lose your life if you keep talking like that."

Putra	"AH, YAKKY HAS FALLEN OFF A CLIFF!"
Queensway	"For that matter, why are you here, Miss Miyako? Weren't you waiting at the base at the foot of the cliff?"
Miyako	"I sensed something strange before sunrise, so I came to check on you. I was told to wait, but I was not under any orders not to come to the mountain."
Putra	"You are as free as ever."
Vivienne	"You were at the foot of the mountain and you sensed something was wrong? You could hardly see anything from the mansion at the mountain top, could you?"
Miyako	"I sent my shikigami to you all so that if something happened, I will be ready to move immediately. I also watched the whole banquet through that shikigami."
Miyako	"Ooenomiya-san and Shimoamazu-san must have seen through it right away, but did they say anything in particular?"

Miyako	"The only reason you didn't notice my presence was because you were too relaxed, Yakutsk-san."

Miyako	"The rest of you, don't be too careless. This is not a tourist spot at all. This Iwato is even more horrifying than the Hinayashiki."
