Islington	"So, what exactly is this place called Iris Metro where you lived?"
Versailles	"Iris Metro is the world directly below this Iris cloud. That's why the Metro world doesn't have skies as big as this one."
Miyako	"Then there's the Iris Metro's Divine Children. None have the power to clear the Mist or defeat monsters like Conductor-san. They only pray at the altar and make prophecies and divinations."
Islington	"Did the Metro people know about us before?"
Versailles	"Oui, the stories of the existence of Iris Cloud has been talked about for quite a long time. Beyond the ceiling, there is another world called Iris Cloud."
Versailles	"There's a lot of written literature about the Surface world. Additionally, Metro is dotted with special tunnels that seem to lead to some other world."
Miyako	"We call them Metro Holes. But all the entrances to the tunnels are blocked. We can't go any further."
Miyako	"These Metro Holes are treated as ancient ruins. Some of them are altars on which the Divine Children pray."
Islington	"But for some reason a Metro Hole was opened. Otherwise, you wouldn't have come to this world."
Versailles	"Yes. After that Metro Hole appeared. The nightmarish Nachts began."
Miyako	"The Nacht comes several times a day. The area is shrouded in a thick Mist and vicious demons appear from inside the Metro Hole..."
Islington	"What do you mean by a Nacht? Does it go completely dark when the Phantom Mist appears?"
Versailles	"Day and night are not always regular in Iris Metro. The day/night changeover and weather conditions are quite different from what happens in Iris Cloud."
Yoshino	"Because in Iris Metro there is no sky, moon or sun. The only thing that takes their place is the ceiling. It's not just the weather, even the brightness varies from place to place."
Islington	"I see! So this world sounds like the basement of Iris Cloud, huh?"
Yoshino	"Exactly."
Miyako	"Yoshino-san, do you know about Metro by any chance?"
Yoshino	"Eh? Yoshino doesn't know anything about it. But it can be deduced after some thinking, maybe."
Miyako	"You usually can't deduce that much from just that little information..."

Yoshino	"Supposedly it would be easier to understand if you imagine it as indoor lighting."
Versailles	"Since the appearance of that abominable Metro Hole, the celestial spheres around it has been behaving strangely. The timing of the Nachts became erratic and we had to constantly monitor the Metro Hole..."
Versailles	"We never know when Nacht will come. And there can be several Nachts in a day. Us defenders have no time to rest. The demons were also quite formidable, so we were on the defense."

Versailles	"No, no. We couldn't withstand the magic generated in the tunnel that opened and disappeared from the scene."
Yakutsk	"It's possible that they've been returned to the entrance, but it's more likely that they've been thrown out somewhere else."

Yoshino	"The people of Iris Metro know about Iris Cloud; The people of Iris Cloud know nothing about Iris Metro."
Yoshino	"That's strange. Is there a reason for that?"
Yakutsk	"Surely you all can't believe all of this in its entirety, can you? I don't want to doubt you, but it's also possible that this is all just a setup that you came up with on the spot. It's a bit too good, or too convenient."
Versailles	"I understand what you say. I would say the same thing if I were in your shoes."

The map presented to us depicted the five countries of the Iris Cloud. The location and topography of each country is almost identical to our world. However, the map also shows oceans outside of Flamarine.
Yakutsk	"It's almost exactly the same as the map of Iris Cloud."
Putra	"But there are also oceans in Nishiki and Eisengrad."
Versailles	"That's a subterranean sea. Some researchers see them as subterranean lakes. No one has ever found an opposite shore in any of the countries' seas, so it's called a sea."
Putra	"It's hard to do research on a boat."
Versailles	"Yeah. It's not easy to go out to sea, because we're blocked by thick Mist."
Putra	"Then it's almost the same as the seas in our world."
Yoshino	"It's not impossible that the Flamarine sea is also a large lake."

Mary	"The Iris Cloud world map only goes as far as the limit of human observation. There may be other continents, oceans and mountains."

Conductor	The mysterious power of Gates exists in our world too. Mary here actually used this magic to move through space.
Conductor	And there are Poison and foreign substances flowing into Iris Cloud from other worlds. It is quite possible that there are special tunnels leading to other places.
Islington	"It would be nice if those Metro Holes were also lined with tracks."
Versailles	"There are tracks."
Islington	"How very convenient? You've walked the whole way, haven't you?"
Versailles	"We walked on the tracks. I saw it with my own eyes, I'm sure of it. There are tracks running through the Metro Hole. It probably extends from this garrison."
Queensway	"Lady Islington, if everything she said is true, wouldn't it be possible to get to the Metro Hole using the Mist Train?"
Islington	"Well, true, but it's too risky to run the Train solely on the basis of what these two girls have told us. I mean, there's no excuse if something goes wrong, so I'm troubled..."

Miyako	"This is the Metro Hole. It's the tunnel that Versailles and I came through."
Versailles	"Do you believe me now?"
Islington	"Gah, there's no peace at all. Peace doesn't last long, eh?"
Mary	"What are you blabbing about? This is the 'something definitive' you asked for, right?"
Islington	"Well, yeah. Now we've got to go."
Versailles	"You will help us with Iris Metro then?"
Islington	"Calm down. It's all too soon."
Islington	"First, we'll investigate the Metro Hole. Then we'll assess the situation and decide what we're going to do. You'll be with us as key witnesses."
Versailles	"Oui, Madame!"
