Story Queensway.png
Queensway
"So this is Hinayashiki..."
Story Yakutsk.png
Yakutsk
"Even if I expected it, but there are so many dolls here. There's a whole yard full of Nishikese dolls."
Story Versailles.png
Versailles
"Is everyone alright?"
Story Vivienne.png
Vivienne
"Conductor and the others haven't arrived yet. It seems a bit late for them to have followed us right away..."
Story Yoshino.png
Yoshino
"Sorry to keep you all waiting. Nishiki's sorceress is kenzan here."
Story Vivienne.png
Vivienne
'Yoshino! Thank goodness you're here. You're a bit late, I was worried."
Story Yoshino.png
Yoshino
"Heroes always arrive late. Yuuzen and Shashou are with us."
After passing through the Gate that Yuuzen recreated, Hinayashiki appeared right in front of us. The Train Knights who went ahead of us were all safe.
As previously reported, there was a very thick Phantom Mist around Hinayashiki. The Mist was so thick that even Versailles could not confirm whether or not our current location was in fact the Hinayashiki. I felt this place to be similar to Iris Cloud's Sea of Mist.
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"So this is Miyako's parents' house. It's quite a big mansion, eh? She must have been quite the ojou-sama."
Story Yakutsk.png
Yakutsk
"That joke's not funny."
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"I didn't mean it as a joke."
Story Queensway.png
Queensway
"Fortunately there is no thick Phantom Mist on the grounds of Hinayashiki. I think we can search the interiors. Let's hurry and look for Miss Miyako."
Story Yoshino.png
Yoshino
"This is Miyako's house. If we find Miyako, she will lead us to her master."
Story Yoshino.png
Yoshino
"The dolls here are also Miyako's friends. We'll be lucky if they cooperate."
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"Don't get yer hopes up. This isn't the house Miyako knows anymore. Ya should expect enemies everywhere."
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"A skilled sorceress is on the other side. There's a possibility that we've already fallen for the tricks."
???
Don't touch my child. Once you abandon a doll, you can never live with it again."
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"..."
???
"I hate. I hate people. I hate people who throw away pretty dolls."
???
"I hate. I hate mothers. I hate mothers who abandon their living children."
???
"Don't worry. I won't let you feel that way. I will take care of you from now on."
???
"I'll be with you all the time. You will live with me in this house forever.
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"...My my, looks like we're dealing with a nastier opponent than I thought."
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"Ya said ya're Versailles, I heard ya know a lot about Hinayashiki."
Story Versailles.png
Versailles
"Yes, well. I know a lot about Miyako's time inside Hinayashiki..."
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"Well, before I ask for more details, I'll make a guess. On what kind of a person is Miyako's master."
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"It was neither a person nor a doll that brought Miyako up in Hinayashiki. It was a monster living in the Mist that took the place of Miyako's mother, wasn't it?"
Story Queensway.png
Queensway
"Monster... Miyako was raised by a demon?"
Story Yakutsk.png
Yakutsk
"Versailles, is it true?"
Story Versailles.png
Versailles
"...Yes. It's true."
Story Yoshino.png
Yoshino
"Raised by a monster...?"
Story Yoshino.png
Yoshino
"Miyako, she never told me anything like that..."
Story Versailles.png
Versailles
"Hinayashiki was famous as a place to throw away dolls with a history. There was a woman who lived there who loved dolls and she would take any doll she wanted."
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"However, the owner of the mansion was not a person, but a monster. So a doll-loving monster lived in the house.'
Story Putra.png
Putra
"Wait a minute. That monster is a doll-lover who collects dolls, right? If so, why did she raise Miyako?"
Story Vivienne.png
Vivienne
"Before that, why was Miyako even in Hinayashiki?"
Story Versailles.png
Versailles
"Miyako was abandoned in Hinayashiki. She was buried under a pile of dolls and exposed to the wind and rain for many days."
Story Vivienne.png
Vivienne
"That's terrible..."
Story Putra.png
Putra
"I guess that means the monster saved her life."
Story Versailles.png
Versailles
'Yes. That's why Miyako still doesn't hold a grudge against the master. She saved her life and brought her up."
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"But Miyako must face her master. Even if she saved her life, the monster waiting for us at the back of Hinayashiki is quite vicious."
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"Probably a lot different from when she was acting as Miyako's mother."
Story Versailles.png
Versailles
"How do you know so much? Maybe she's just possessed by something?"
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"It doesn't matter if she's possessed or not. One look at that Gate and ya can tell that the caster is not a decent person."
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"That Gate is an extremely problematic creation by the monster of Hinayashiki. If a weaker sorcerer handles it, he or she will lose his life. It's not something humans do. I wouldn't make something like that either."
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"It has very strong negative feelings towards people. It is resentful, jealous, hateful and want to kill people. It can't forgive anyone who is happy except itself. I could feel these feelings through that Gate."
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"And just now, the same demonic voice was heard from the back of the mansion just a few minutes ago. It's also tricky because it uses words but doesn't understand words."
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"I don't understand why she picked up Miyako, who is a person, and raised her. She could have taken her and eaten her out of the blue."
Story Versailles.png
Versailles
"There's a bit of a complicated story about that. Miyako was not just an abandoned child..."
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"If possible, I'd like you to tell me what the full story. It could be a clue for us as a strategy to attack Hinayashiki."
Story Versailles.png
Versailles
"Miss Yoshino. I'm sure Miyako told you to 'ask Versailles for more information', yes?"
Story Yoshino.png
Yoshino
"Yes. She said she wished she could have told me more about Hinayashiki."
Story Versailles.png
Versailles
"Then I can tell you. Miyako's secret..."
Story Versailles.png
Versailles
"..."
Story Versailles.png
Versailles
"When Miyako was abandoned here. Miyako was put under a strong curse, called 'Dollification'."
Story Yoshino.png
Yoshino
"Dollification curse, it's a very scary curse that makes you think you're a doll."
Story Queensway.png
Queensway
"Doesn't it mean that your body actually becomes like a doll?"
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"There are two kinds of curses: one that turns you into a doll only in body, and one that turns you into a doll only in mind. The one that was applied to Miyako is the one that only turns her mind into a doll. She must have suffered a lot when she was brought up by the monster."
Story Versailles.png
Versailles
"They'll still get sick, they get hurt, and if they don't eat, they die."
Story Versailles.png
Versailles
"Miyako was abandoned here as a doll and brought up here as a doll. She had the curse lifted by someone she loved like a sister. Miyako was on the verge of starvation at the time."
Story Versailles.png
Versailles
With the help of her savior, Miyako escaped from Hinayashiki. But she had been living as a doll all her life. It took her a long time and a lot of training before she was able to live like a normal human being."
Story Versailles.png
Versailles
"See, you might find Miyako to be cold-hearted sometimes, right? That's because she doesn't understand human emotions yet. Just like with other people's emotions, she's still learning about her own emotions as well."
Story Yakutsk.png
Yakutsk
"The reason Miyako is not very emotional... is because she has none."
Story Vivienne.png
Vivienne
"It must have been very difficult for her to be brought up as a doll and then re-educated as a living being..."
Story Versailles.png
Versailles
"I should have told you about this a little earlier, but I thought Miyako would tell you herself about this."
Story Yoshino.png
Yoshino
"It was her doll friend who helped Miyako..."
Story Versailles.png
Versailles
"Miss Yoshino?"
Story Yoshino.png
Yoshino
"Miyako had a very clever doll friend. A child who can walk and speak by herself."
Story Yoshino.png
Yoshino
"She broke Miyako's curse. Miyako said, 'Thanks to her, I became a person again.'"
Story Yoshino.png
Yoshino
"The doll is very kind. She's very good. She told Miyako that her place was not here. She really wanted to be with Miyako all the time..."
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"It's okay to stay together forever. If it's a relationship between a 'person' and a 'doll'...".
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"It is a twisted power that turns dolls into people and people into dolls. To wish people could love dolls and dolls could love people."
???
"People lose their lives. People take their lives."
???
"People hurt their dolls. But when they hurt themselves, they blame the dolls."
???
"People go to the doll dump for fear of curses. People curse people, but everyone blames the dolls."
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"It's the same voice as the one from earlier. She's definitely watching us.
Story Yoshino.png
Yoshino
"Hey, Yuuzen. Yoshino's black doll is glowing."
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"!"
Story Yuuzen.png
Yuuzen
"Yoshino, gimme yer hand!"
Story Yoshino.png
Yoshino
"Hand?"
Yuuzen noticed something and asked Yoshino to hold out her hand. Yoshino did as he was told and held out her right hand towards Yuuzen. And...
Story Versailles.png
Versailles
"They're gone!"
Story Queensway.png
Queensway
"What happened!? How could this happen with a Gate!"
We were just about to begin our search inside Hinayashiki, two reliable sorceresses have disappeared at the same time...
