Yakutsk	"Dammit, these bastards seem to be the type to overwhelm with numbers. There's no end to how many we can take down."
Yakutsk	"We can neither go forward nor can we go back. We're cornered at this point. We have to do something about the number difference first."
Yoshino	"Yoshino agrees. At the very least, we need to know where these machine soldiers are coming from."
Conductor	Yakutsk and everyone else were indeed out of breath as the enemy came at them from both flanks too, not only from the front.
Conductor	The machine soldiers that attacked us had little combat power by themselves, but they quickly increased in number over a short period of time, so unless we destroyed the source, we would eventually run out of stamina and be overwhelmed.
Yakutsk	"As long as we don't know the real number of enemy soldiers, it would be terrible if we were to enter a battle of attrition."
Yoshino	"It's tricky because they're all clumped together. Yakky-tan has no choice but to cut into them like an army wife." (Original: ここはヤクたんが人妻のように切り込んでいくしかない, "Yaku-tan has no choice but to cut into this like a married woman." 人妻: married woman.)
Yakutsk	"That's supposed to be a 'knife' with that sentence. And who are you to call me an army wife?" (Original: "それを言うなら'稲妻'でしょうが。誰が人妻よ". 稲妻: lightning. In English, instead of lightning, an army knife is used instead to keep the slice-through meaning.)
Queensway	"Miss Yakutsk, Miss Yoshino, I'll cover for you!"
Yoshino	"Ooohー, and it looks like our army knife is back."
Queensway	"I'm sorry, it looks like the enemies has leaked to the rear quite a bit."
Yakutsk	"While I'm glad you're covering for us, is Versailles going to be okay on their own?"
Queensway	"Versailles is moving ahead and holding the front. It appears that the machine soldiers are increasing in numbers up front."
Queensway	"Not to mention that I'm a little concerned about something."
Yakutsk	"Don't be so presumptuous. It could change the course of the operation."
Queensway	"The enemies on the front are too weak; the enemies Yakutsk and everybody else are fighting are somewhat stronger."
Yakutsk	"That said, we're not that far from where you two were..."
Yoshino	"The army of machine soldiers is smart. Have to assume that we're dealing with human beings."
Yoshino	"Captain Yakutsk. What do you think is the difference between ningen and demons?"
Yakutsk	"Well umm... having a strategy or no?"
Yoshino	"Correct. Glad you didn't get the question of your specialty genre wrong."
Queensway	"If there's a strategy, I don't know what their intent is. If they are aiming for a war of attrition, why not just send a large force at once and surround us all?"
Yakutsk	"True, I don't see the need to drip in weak machine soldiers one by one. If they wanted to defeat us, it would be better to send a few strong machine soldiers. It's hard enough to handle two or three of the ones we fought in the northern factories before."
Queensway	"More machine soldiers with no solution to take them down. While they have the brains to surprise us, their attack patterns are all over the place..."
Queensway	"......"
Mary	"Look, Queensway, sometimes you feel uncomfortable in combat, don't you? You should cherish those sensations."
Mary	"Sometimes things work too well and sometimes they don't work at all..."
Mary	"Be careful when you think things are going too well. It's when you think things are going too well that you need to be careful, because the cause is closer than you think."

Machine Soldier	"ーーーー!"
In the midst of close quarters with the proliferating machine soldiers, a large machine soldier appeared right in the middle of the formation.
Queensway immediately responded, but the machine soldier's strength was so strong that it was unlikely that she would be able to fend it off herself.
Even if one were to make a rough estimate, it would be equal to... or even exceed the power of the machine soldiers that appeared at the northern factories in my country.
Queensway will not let Yakutsk and Yoshino near each other, and both Yakutsk and Yoshino knew why. The movements of the commander-level machine soldiers were sophisticated.
The machine soldier had huge "swords" in its hands. Its movements... were those of a skilled swordsman.
It swung the sharp, heavy sword with ease, overwhelming Queensway. Euston, who was watching from afar, did not come to her aid. She simply stood guard over Vivienne and Putra and ordered a change of formation.
The proliferation of machine soldiers does not stop. With Queensway fighting a single strong enemy, we were busy dealing with the ever-increasing number of small machine soldiers.
ーーHowever, a petite swordswoman stepped in there without hesitation after some time.
Versailles	"HAAAAAH!"
Versailles	"Mademoiselle Queensway, are you safe!?"
Queensway	"Miss Versailles! Are you sure about the enemies in front of you?"
Versailles	"Sir Knight Euston took over for me and told me to go cover you, Queensway."
Queensway	"Thank you. This machine soldier is completely different from the rest. It has the movement of a swordsman. It's combat style is quite close to that of the Order of St. Iris."
Versailles	"It promptly paused as soon as I arrived. Looks like it can change its fighting style depending on the situation."
Versailles	"This is the sign of a strong individual that Knight Commander Euston sensed; it is imbued with the magic of the Phantom Mist. It can be seen as the 'alpha' that controls the other machine soldiers."
Queensway	"I agree. If we defeat it, it should stop the other machine soldiers from moving. It may be difficult to defeat it alone, but with two of us, we can take it down in one blow."
Versailles	"How would you fight it?"
Queensway	"One of us will continue to parry the enemy's attacks and the other will find an opening from the flank. Do not stand behind it. An opening may be created. Always be in a position where we can see each other's movements."
Versailles	(I see, so the opponent is a machine, so we don't know how it will move. We need to focus on syncing our movements together...)
Queensway	"I'll draw the attacker away, Miss Versailles, and you should aim for the central core from the enemy's flank."
Queensway	"End in one strike if possible. If you miss, it will take countermeasures."
Versailles	"Affirmative. One strike is all I'll do."
Versailles	"Let's do it at the same time, Mademoiselle Queensway."
Queensway	"Yes!"
Versailles and Queensway made a running start and raised their swords toward the enemy leader. The enemy was looking to counter and swung its large sword horizontally.
However, this attack did not hit them. Their aim is to make the enemy swing the sword first. Queensway stayed on the spot just in time with her sword, while Versailles moved around right next to her enemy with amazing speed.
Versailles	"Mademoiselle Queensway! The next one is coming!"
Queensway	"I know!"
The mechanical soldier attacked fiercely. Queensway continued to fend off the enemy's swords alone, as before, and is gradually pushed backwards.
Versailles still did not move. She is looking for the right timing to make sure she can finish it off.
Queensway's movement is much better than before. Despite being on the defense, she is firmly receiving, dodging, and drawing the attention of the enemy's attackers. We can feel that she is doing this with the intention of 'getting an opening'.
Queensway	(Oh, it's true... It's just as Miss Versailles said.)
Queensway	(My sword is lighter. It moves more sharply and fits well in my hand. My sword catches the enemy's sword and plays it before I can think of my next move, just like it did when Mary and I took on the King of Ever-darkness...)

Versailles	"HAH!"
While Queensway was attacked by the enemy, Versailles aimed at its core. We thought the two had planned it that way, but in fact, we were wrong.
They attacked simultaneously. The tips of Queensway's and Versailles' swords pierced the core of the machine soldier.
Queensway	"It completely shattered..."
Machine Soldier	"ーーーー!"
Queensway	"Disappeared in a puff of Mist. It's not just a machine then..."
Versailles	"It's just as we predicted, that was the alpha. The other machine soldiers are also disappearing."
Putra	"Queensway, Versailles, you did it!"
Vivienne	"Are you two ok? Are you hurt?"
Versailles	"We're fine. No problems."
Queensway	"You both held up very well, it must have been tough after Miss Euston left her post."
Queensway	"Thanks to Miss Versailles, she came to my aid. I couldn't have done it alone. It was a win that we all pulled together."
Euston	"Thank you all for your hard work. I would like to check this place out a little more, but it looks like we should move on."
Euston	"Look over there."
Queensway	"Is that a... Tunnel?"
Euston	"As soon as we defeated the enemy general, a new path opened up. It's as if it's telling us to go this way."
Euston	"Well, there is no time to rest. Let's go deeper into the ruins."
