Profile

Paddington Elrond is the deuteragonist of Mist Train Girls, supporting the Conductor (player character) as the navigator as well as a vice commander, as well as providing the Special Steel Squad (SSS) with key information about their objectives. The SSS's main team consists of Queensway from St. Iris, Yoshino from Nishiki, Yakutsk from Eisengrad, Vivienne from Verforet, and Putra from Flamarine, each representing their respective countries. The team is in charge of the Mist Train, the only locomotive in the world that can navigate the Mist. Created by the Conductor's mother, she disappeared into the Phantom Mist prior to the game's events and her whereabouts remain unknown and currently AWOL. It was initially believed that only the creator could power the Mist Train. But, after a long period of dormancy, the SSS Alliance discovered the Conductor had inherited his mother's ability to drive it and hence appointed him to lead the train through the Mist.

Paddington was born as a Divine Child, part of the royal family of St. Iris. However, unlike her four older sisters, she was born without any magical abilities or combat prowess, leading her to feel inferior to them. Instead, she makes up for it with her photographic memory; she never forgets anything she has ever seen, even if she saw it only once. Her keen memory has saved the team from many dire situations, such as realizing that they were trapped inside a loop within the Schoenenbourg fortification in Verforet simply from noticing the repeating scratch marks on the trees.

Trivia

  • Paddington tends to blurt out "Hawawa" whenever she's panicking.
  • Paddington's surname is Elrond, she ranks the youngest among the five sisters of the House of Elrond.
  • Paddington owns a Lucy Bear which she carries around. In Mist Train Girls, Lucy Bear is an iconic character from the famous children's book in the country of St. Iris, which is a subtle reference to its real life equivalent - England's Paddington Bear. In the Paddington Bear franchise, Paddington's aunt is named Lucy. Her house maid Victoria also owns a Lucy Bear as a sign of their childhood friendship.
  • Paddington's photographic memory contributes to her extensive knowledge of the land and history of Iriscloud. This is likely a reference to the British Museum near the station, the museum's permanent collection of eight million works is among the largest and most comprehensive in existence. It documents the story of human culture from its beginnings to the present.
  • Paddington's obsession of food all around Iriscloud is a reference to the Paddington Basin - Home of some of the best restaurants in Paddington London, the Basin is a hub of local office workers going about their day grabbing lunch or a post-work drink. Restaurants offer coveted views of the canal. Food can range from Australian style brunches, to sourdough pizza, and Scandinavian cuisine.
  • Paddington's fourth sister is Islington, and her house maid is her childhood friend Victoria.
  • The Party Skill [Hissatsu! Jaou Shoukou Ken!] (original: 必殺!邪王翔光拳!) is an iconic reference to Haou Shoukou Ken (覇王翔吼拳), a Super Special Move in the Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury and The King of Fighters series, serving as one of the signature attacks for practitioners of Kyokugenryu Karate.
  • Paddington is one of six train knights who were a part of a collaboration event in Flower Knight Girl (From Beyond the World of Flowers / 花の世界の向こうから) that was held from April 15th, 2024 to April 30th, 2024. The other featured train knights were Victoria, King's Cross, Yakutsk, Yoshino, and Miyako. In the event's story mode, Paddington and Victoria were paired with Eederuwaisu / Edelweiss and Sunoofureeku / Snowflake, a noblewoman and maid from Lily Wood who have a similar close-knit relationship.
  • During the collaboration event in Flower Knight Girl, Paddington took the place of Nazuna for instances like visiting the exchange market or visiting the character management screen. Nazuna took Paddington's place for similar instances in Mist Train Girls during its corresponding event, Proelium Beyond the Mist.

Paddington Station entrance.

Paddington, also known as London Paddington, is a Central London railway terminus and London Underground station complex, located on Praed Street in the Paddington area. The site has been the London terminus of services provided by the Great Western Railway and its successors since 1838. Much of the main line station dates from 1854 and was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

The station has been perennially popular for passengers and goods, particularly milk and parcels. Major upgrades took place in the 1870s, the 1910s and the 1960s, each trying to add additional platforms and space while trying to preserve the existing services and architecture as much as possible. Paddington was first served by London Underground trains in 1863, as the original western terminus of the Metropolitan Railway, the world's first underground railway.

In the 20th century, suburban and commuter services appeared at Paddington as the urban sprawl of London moved westwards. Despite the numerous upgrades and rebuilding, plus damage sustained in particular during World War II, Brunel's original design is still recognizable.

The National Rail station is officially named London Paddington, a name commonly used outside London but rarely by Londoners, who call it just Paddington, as on the London Underground map. This same practice applies to all the London mainline rail termini, except London Bridge. Parts of the station, including the main train shed, date from 1854, when it was built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel as the London terminus for the Great Western Railway (GWR). The first GWR service from the new station departed on 16 January 1854, though the roof had not been finished at this point and there were no arrivals. It was formally opened on 29 May, and the older temporary station was demolished the following year. Wikipedia
