Trivia
- Yoshino's birthday is the opening date of Yoshino Station in 1928.
- Yoshino's beast motif is the fox.
- All of Yoshino's layers except [Somei-Ya Seamstress] appears to always be accompanied with two fox familiars. Fox familiars are commonly portrayed in Japan, where they can be tamed and controlled by kitsune-mochi or tsukimono-suji.
- Yoshino's design motif - her liking of cherry blossoms and as the seamstress of Somei-Ya, is taken from Mount Yoshino, the origin name of Yoshino station. Cherry blossoms are featured in all of her tachi-e illustrations.
- Yoshino's side occupation as "the seamstress of Somei-Ya (House of Somei)" is a reference to the Prunus × yedoensis 'Somei-yoshino' or Yoshino cherry (染井吉野). This tree one of the most popular and widely planted cherry cultivars in temperate around the world today. 'Somei-yoshino' is a clone from a single tree, and has been propagated by grafting all over the world.
- Yoshino is not good at books as she has no proper education, and has trouble with Japanese kanji. In English, this is localized as not very good with some English terms and she has to resort to using some Japanese instead, such as Shashou (しゃしょう) instead of Conductor.
- Kuzukiri (葛切り) is a clear cake of boiled kuzuko cut into noodle-like strips and eaten as a dessert with kuromitsu (black sugar syrup) as the noodles themselves don't have much taste. The texture is distinctively smooth and soft.
- [Ekiben, Ekiben♪] is a reference to ekiben, which is famous in Yoshinoguchi station. Ekiben (駅弁, railway bento) are a specific type of bento boxed meals, sold on trains and at train stations in Japan. They come with disposable chopsticks (when necessary) or spoons. Ekiben containers can be made from plastic, wood, or ceramic. Many train stations have become famous for their ekiben made from local food specialties (tokusanhin). The popularity of ekiben reached a peak in the 1980s, but declined as air travel became more affordable and trains became faster.
- Yoshino is one of six train knights who were a part of a collaboration event in Flower Knight Girl (From Beyond the World of Flowers / 花の世界の向こうから) that was held from April 15th, 2024 to April 30th, 2024. The other featured train knights were Victoria, King's Cross, Yakutsk, Paddington, and Miyako. In the event's story mode, Yoshino is paired with Sakura, a flower knight who is strongly associated with cherry blossoms much like Yoshino is. At one point in the story, Yoshino wants to visit the World Tree of Blossom Hill, a giant cherry blossom tree. After everyone except for Miyako, Yoshino, Sakura and the Knight Commander leave to buy lunch for the group, Yoshino tells Sakura a little about her past, recounting the time when she made a promise with her parents: "We'll come and see you when this weeping cherry blossom blooms."

Yoshino Station (吉野駅) is the terminus on the Kintetsu Railway Yoshino Line in Yoshino, Yoshino District, Nara Prefecture, Japan. It is opened on March 25, 1928 when the Yoshino Line was extended. It was then merged with Osaka Electric Tramway on early August, 1929. A further extension on March 15, 1941 with the Sangu Kyuko Railway, followed by the merging of the Nankai railway on June 1944, makes it a newly established Kansai Kyuko Railway station due to wartime integration, and becomes a station on the Kinki Nippon Railway Yoshino Line. The Yoshino Line (吉野線) is a railway line in Nara Prefecture, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Kintetsu Railway. It connects Kashihara-Jingūmae in Kashihara and Yoshino in Yoshino. All Express and Limited Express trains continue to and from Ōsaka Abenobashi Station on the Minami Osaka Line.
Yoshino Station serves as the entrance to Mt. Yoshino, which is famous for its cherry blossoms. It is connected to the Yoshino Ropeway operated by Yoshino Omine Cable Car from the station front, although it is also possible to climb up to Mt. Yoshino by foot. Yoshino Ropeway is the oldest surviving aerial lift line in the nation. The line opened on March 12, 1929, a year after Yoshino Railway, the current Kintetsu Yoshino Line, opened the railway line to Yoshino Station. The line uses two cabins, named Kaede (Maple) and Sakura (Cherry). The cabins have stair-like floors; the classical style that has become uncommon nowadays. Although the cabins and cables have been updated, the spans are still those constructed in 1928. The line is not only a sightseeing line to Mount Yoshino, but also a local transport for residents there. As such, there is a commuter pass available.
Yoshino Station has become a fully unmanned station from October 1, 2021 onwards, due to the COVID Pandemic. Wikipedia
Mount Yoshino (吉野山) is a mountain located in the town of Yoshino in Yoshino District, Nara Prefecture, Japan that is a major religious and literary site. It is renowned for its cherry blossoms and attracts many visitors every spring, when the trees are in blossom. In 2004, Mount Yoshino was designated as part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the name Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range. Mount Yoshino is famous for having more than 30,000 sakura flowering cherry trees. These trees have inspired Japanese waka poetry and folk songs for centuries, including a waka in the 10th century poetry compilation Kokin Wakashū. Yoshino is also the subject of several poems in the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu. The 12th century CE Japanese Buddhist poet Saigyō writes of Mount Yoshino's cherry blossoms.
Yoshino's cherry trees were planted in four groves at different altitudes, in part so they would come into bloom at different times of the spring. A 1714 account explained that, on their climb to the top, travelers would be able to enjoy the lower 1,000 cherry trees at the base, the middle 1,000 on the way, the upper 1,000 toward the top, and the 1,000 in the precincts of the inner shrine at the top. Several important religious and pilgrimage destinations are located around Mount Yoshino, including Yoshino Mikumari Shrine, Kimpu Shrine and Kimpusen-ji. Wikipedia
