Miyabihime is a living doll made by Yuuzen the First, Yuuzen's ancestor and currently owned by Yae, Miyako's closest friend whom she was looking for.

Main Story

Story Arc 2

Miyabihime's first appearance is in the M. Nishiki episode. Her name wasn't revealed until the very end. At first she's only known as a "Fox-Masked Girl" and helped Conductor's team to quickly rejoin Miyako and the other abducted children in M. Nishiki's Senbon Torii, a location with a maze of a thousand Nishikese religious shrine gates, called torii. Miyako disappeared and reappeared from time to time, guiding Conductor's Special Steel Squad along the way as they were trying to dispel Yoshino's curse inflicted by the master of the mountain, by saying that they should ignore all the vermillion torii and look only for the single black torii. After Miyako jumped into the nagashi-bina river to save the possessed Yoshino, and entered Ningyo Jigoku, Miyabihime once again verbally guided them out of the realm, while also telling Yoshino to keep and protect the black doll, as it is important to save the Nishiki Giant Tree Guardian, and the black doll chose Yoshino, and also told them to free the master of the mountain. Eventually the Special Steel Squad found the black torii, and Miyabihime thanked them and asked Miyako to free "oka-san", the mother of Hinayashiki, right before the team fought the mountain's guardian to free it from its misery from the Phantom Mist's Poison. In the Hinayashiki episode, it was revealed in Miyako's backstory that she was the one who protected and persuaded Miyako to leave Hinayashiki, as she was starving and nearly died while she kept thinking she's a doll due to a curse. Miyako was only fed while the insane owner-turned-monster play-pretends feeding her with food and water. Miyabi used her magic to lift most of the doll curse from Miyako's body, saying that she'll feel hunger, pain and suffering once again, but she'll feel like a living person, and told her to live as one. Miyabi reappears one more time inside Hinayashiki once the Conductor's team were able to find Miyako again, tell them to free Hinayashiki's owner, or M. Nishiki will be doomed. She admitted that all this time, her role is to lead them into Hinayashiki's Gate. Miyabihime's mask cannot be removed, as it is her source of power, and her existence is only ethereal and an illusion, hence her ability to fade in and out. Her real body is by Yae's side, Miyako's friend and savior. Yae is a doll master just like Yuuzen, and Yuuzen was very happy to hear one of her ancestor's dolls have survived to this day. Miyabi also mentioned of the owner's biggest weakness, where she is unable to harm Miyako out of love. Eventually the owner-turned-demon was calmed down, with Miyabihime feeling sorry for her, as she lost both her two children and her sorrow combined with Phantom Mist turned her insane, playing with dolls all alone. Miyako is still grateful for the owner, and still felt filial piety because it was her who saved Miyako, feeding her and keeping her alive, even if barely. The owner departed to the afterlife, then Hinayashiki's realm crumbled, with Miyabi providing her final help towards Yuuzen and the Conductor to escape the crumbling realm. Miyabihime's illusion disappeared after everyone escaped alive.
