The heroic assault by the Out-Siders boosted the morale of the Train Knights who were cornered by the train, and the situation was quickly turned around.
This is the strength of a force that travels around the world's danger zones without the Mist Train. This is the strength of warriors who have risked their lives for victory, without praise or thanks from anyone.
Queensway	"I'm so glad the Out-Siders are here. But why are they here, Mary's team were supposed to be waiting at the Station."
Yakutsk	"I don't think they could have rushed in that quickly though. It's not like they were following us."
Yakutsk	"But they're the strongest unit in St. Iris after all. They all look different from usual. They're making sure they impede movement within a few moves. They can do that because they have no hesitation. We had to be that good from the start."
Putra	"Queensway, Yakutsk, leave the Mistism to the reinforcements and let's deal with the machine soldiers."
Yakutsk	"Roger. They won't be easy though. They are fast and numerous. There were some big ones, too."
Putra	"Mhm. Islington is on top of the train now, but there are too many of them for her to get a good shot. I think we should draw the big ones away."
Queensway	"That's a good idea, I'll call Miss Yoshino and Miss Vivienne and we'll all meet up."
Detroit	"Wait a minute. Ya girls should be getting ready to leave. Stay in the cars when you all meet up."
Queensway	"Getting ready to leave? What are you talking about? We're not leaving without you girls."
Detroit	"Wrong, the other way round. Conductor and Islington will proceed forward right after this. As soon as the enemies here are cleared, we'll follow y'all."
Fayette	"Exactly. The entrance to the Steel Tree is just around the corner. As long as we can secure the railway line, we'll have our beeline. That means we'll continue our investigation of the Steel Tree, Queensway."
Fayette	"Sir Conductor, listen as well. Things have changed. I don't think all of you realize this, but you're right near the Station we were at."
Conductor	You're saying we're right near the Station? So we were going round and round the same place on the Thorn Railway? I don't think I saw that on Paddington's map...
Fayette	"I don't know what's going on over there. But it's only a stone's throw from here to the Station. It's not hard to retreat or move on."
Detroit	"There were those big thorns just behind the Station. They disappeared and suddenly this plain appeared."
Fayette	"Perhaps the path we took is the shortest way to the Steel Tree. It means you've come a long way around."
Detroit	"That's what I mean. If we can get through this battle, we'll be a lot closer to the Steel Tree."
Fayette	"You all will go to the entrance of the Steel Tree first and make sure it's safe. The roots of the Steel Tree are like a fortress. Hopefully we can build a stronghold there too."
Fayette	"The situation is getting better. We'll have 'reinforcements' that will come afterwards that will take care of the machine soldiers. So, keep moving forward here. Conductor."
Conductor	You mean you've made your next move.... Then I'll follow what you say, let's continue the operation.
Conductor	Queensway and the rest of you should report this to Islington. Then, get on board and get the Mist Train ready for departure. When Fayette's 'reinforcements' arrive and clear the way, we'll head straight for the entrance to the steel tree.
Queensway	"Roger that, Miss Yakutsk and Miss Putra, let's go!"
Fayette	"Detroit, take every single Mistism cultist into custody. We'll take all of them to the Station for identification."
Detroit	"I don't think these bastards will talk, though."
Fayette	"I doubt it, I'll have Tsukiyo Banshuu and Skanda Mercenaries interrogate them. If they're not trained on both mind and body, they'll fess up in no time."
Detroit	"What do you mean by that?"
Blackfriar	"Good grief, your disciple is not ready for this. I can't believe she's having trouble with this. They are not as strong as she says they are."
Mary	"Well, don't tell her that. For her case, 'people' are more troublesome than Wandering Lives."
Blackfriar	"Then this will make her even stronger. Everything's an experience. Experience."
Blackfriar	"Finchley, how are things going? Ready to move on to phase two?"
Finchley	"Mistism eliminated. Ready to move to phase two."
Blackfriar	"Roger. Commence phase two. Signal please."
Finchley	"Hah. Fire signal!"
At the direction of Blackfriar who was leading the Out-Siders, Finchley fired a signal shot high into the sky.
Presumably this was a request for 'reinforcements'. But how would these troops join the battle? Even if there is an effective force against the machine soldiers, I think the battle will start before they arrive...
Mary	"Don't worry. That girl will come soon."
Yuuzen	"――Connected."
Just above the Mist Train. A Gate appeared in the air and Yuuzen jumped down from it.
I see. So she was able to connect the Gate by scouting out this place? If Yuuzen is here, then... Farringdon should be with her too. This will work. We can definitely win.
Yuuzen	"Farringdon, we're right on target. Right on time. Use yer magic to kick those machine soldiers to the curb."
Farringdon	"Excellent transference magic. Lady Ricardo indeed chose you wisely."
Yuuzen	"Miyako and Versailles will be with Conductor. Make sure you do it right. Don't worry about this side."
Miyako	"Understood. Let's go, Versailles."
Versailles	"Yes! Let's join Mademoiselle Queensway and the others!"
Miyako and Versailles then emerged from the Gate. They seem to be heading for the entrance to the Steel Tree with us. They ran along the ceiling section of the Mist Train and called out to Queensway and the others on the ground.
And finally out came... Nishikese reinforcements.
Ooenomiya	"Ho, we have quite some interesting opponents janou. Maki, can you do it?"
Maki	"It's not about whether I can do it or not. Now that we've decided to do it, we'll just do it."
Ooenomiya	"Working with y'all is as boring as usual. I should have gone with Miyako-tachi."
Ooenomiya	"Well... it's a nice distraction anyway since I haven't been on the rampage for awhile ja. Maki, show the mighty ones of St. Iris the power of us kijin. Try and get seriously injured again. I'll tell Shimoamazu and have you grounded if you do."
Maki	"Be careful. Take care not to sprain your back, Ooenomiya-sama."
Ooenomiya	"Nonsense. My body is younger than y'alls."
Yuuzen	"Just get on with it already, ya kijin. They'll think yer scared otherwise."
Conductor	Ooenomiya and Maki are working as a duo. It's not every day that we see those two teaming up for a serious fight.
Conductor	This is a total war. A battle we must not lose. Our objective is to conquer the Steel Tree. This is not the time to be stuck here.
Farringdon	"Lord Conductor, leave this situation to us. We have observed a new Phantom Mist at the entrance to the Steel Tree. The intensity of this reaction, indicates it's not human. Please be careful."
Conductor	Thank you. We will win. We will win and get inside the Steel Tree and find a way to restore the Giant Tree.
Islington	"We've heard you, Mr Conductor. We're all on board, including Versailles and Miyako."
Queensway	"The machine soldiers in our path were taken out by Ooenomiya-san and Maki-san. The number of enemies is decreasing very quickly."
Paddington	"Mist Train, ready to leave anytime. Conductor. On your command!"
Conductor	Mist Train, full speed ahead. We will continue on to the entrance of the Steel Tree and defeat the monsters that await us there. Everybody, have you noticed? There's something staring at us at the entrance to the Steel Tree.
Conductor	If that is the source of the Phantom Mist, we have no choice but to defeat it. Our goal is the Steel Tree. We don't have time to fight a war of attrition here.
Paddington	"Mist Train, full speed ahead!"
Islington	"Full speed ahead～!"
While the Allied Forces elite are engaged in melee, we moved straight ahead without looking back.
Behind us, the roar of Farringdon's magical attacks rang out. Slowly, the huge Phantom Mist disappeared.
The Mist Train continued along a straight road until it reached a place where the Poisonous Mist was gathering.
――The entrance to the Steel Tree.
If this is the Thorn Railway, we are still a long way from the terminus.
Up close, the Steel Tree is a fortress covered in Phantom Mist and steel. There is a tunnel at the entrance, similar to a castle gate, and the railway line continues behind it.
Islington	"What is this place? A castle for a demon lord?"
Paddington	"......"
Islington	"Paddington."
Paddington	"Ah, sorry. I'm feeling a bit light-headed..."
Islington	"Take good care of yourself. I know there's a lot of magic and Poison and stuff, but if you think to yourself, 'I have to be careful', you can withstand it to a certain extent."
Paddington	"Yes. I will."
Miyako	"It's full of very bad magic. Is this another Poison from the otherworld?"
Versailles	"I bet it's even more dreadful inside."
Islington	"We should wait for the troops behind us. If we keep going in, we don't know when we'll be able to come back out."
Islington	"But that thing's not going to shut up about it first."
???	"......"
???	"............"
Islington	"Intriguing. This monster's a bit strange."
Yoshino	"Maybe it's one of those otherwordly Poisons."
Yoshino	"It looks like those Metro Eisengrad demonic beasts we saw back there. Maybe it's not a monster from this world."
Islington	"Either they came to our world via the steel tree, or someone left their pets behind..."
Islington	"It doesn't matter either way. Their end is here anyway."
Queensway	"Lady Islington, I'll go with you."
Islington	"Good. Depending on the outcome, I'll consider making you my squire."
Islington	"Everyone ready? We'll take care of this one, I won't stand by and let the Out-Siders take all the glory, got it!?"
