Alexandra |
"........." |
Pushed skywards by a rising column of water, Alexandra spectated the battle on the ground. The sisters are frantically defending themselves against the enemy's barrage of sand-filled shots. |
Alexandra |
(I have to get out of this water column as soon as possible - I have to join them and help them). |
Alexandra |
(Thanks to a unique technique that has only been handed down in the sand-swimming clan, I can swim under sand and underwater without running out of breath. Unlike the two Mermaid bloods, however, it doesn't mean that I can breathe underwater--) |
Alexandra |
(I don't get short of breath, that's all. It's very painful and it's impossible to act forever without suffocating. I have to swim quickly through the water column and get out as close to the ground as possible--) |
Alexandra waded through the water, exhaling gasps from her mouth. However, she stops swimming halfway down. |
Alexandra |
(Is that...? Huh? Why?) |
Alexandra stared in horror at 'something' on top of the giant scorpion that is engaging the sisters. Said 'thing' was so close to the peak of the giant body that only Alexandra, high in the sky, could spot it. |
Alexandra |
(...Penny!) |
Near the top of the giant scorpion's head, as if embedded inside it - was the missing Penang Hill. She seems to have blacked out and is not moving at all. |
Penang Hill |
"........." |
Alexandra |
"Penny! PENNY! PEEENNY! Are you alright!? Y-You're not dead, are you!?" |
Alexandra vented her fury, unconcerned about being underwater. |
Alexandra |
"No! I haven't even apologised to sis Penny yet - WHA!?" |
However, Alexandra's actions were too reckless. In response to her voice and tensed emotions, the giant scorpion points its stinger at her. Once again it engorged, detached and turned into a cannonball - It fired. |
Alexandra |
(Oh no... T-This is bad! I can do it were I'm in the sand, but I'm still underwater, so it's hard to maneuver - I can't dodge this!) |
Perhaps out of natural instinct, Alexandra curled up to protect herself, but in the next moment - She took a direct hit from the sand bullet. |
Alexandra |
"........." |
Alexandra |
(.....Eh? Oh, what? Wha wha what~?") |
Alexandra |
(I'm still alive! I took a direct hit from a shell! No, perhaps I'm dead? Is this the afterlife?) |
Confused, Alexandra looked around. It seems that she lost consciousness when the bullet hit her, and she was in this situation when she woke up - She is bewildered and has no idea what is going on. |
Alexandra |
(Nah. My clothes are still wet and stuff, so this doesn't look like heaven or a near-death experience. But then what is it? No, that's not the point, more than that--) |
Alexandra |
(--Is this, Night Butterfly?) |
Alexandra |
(Yes, I'm inside Night Butterfly. There's no way I could mistake it, it was my most favourite, only place in the world. And it's not golden - so this is not a fake like I've seen earlier?) |
Alexandra |
(Then what? What is this place? I don't know, someone explain! Conductor! Acapulco, Puerto Rico! Penny...!) |
Penang Hill |
"Ah, you're awake. Don't doze off at work, that's embarrassing." |
Penang Hill |
"How long are ya going to be a kiddo, you?" |
Alexandra |
"Penny--" |
A stunned Penang Hill looked down at an upset Alexandra. |
