It is believed that there are five Guardians inside each of the five Giant Trees.
The Guardians of the Giant Trees have received the blessings of the Iridescent Cloud God, and have acquired the power to prevent the abnormal anomalies and outbreaks of the Phantom Mist. The powers of the guardians have enabled Iris Cloud to control the spread of Phantom Mist and to maintain harmony, so that it is not affected by poisons and foreign substances from the otherworlds.
However, the Guardians of the Giant Tree are not eternal beings. Those women too, have lives and souls. They can burn out and disappear, or they can pass on their role to another.
The old guardians have entrusted the next generation to new guardians. The five Giant Trees have maintained Iris Cloud's existence for so long because of the power of these Guardians of the Giant Trees.

So what happens to the Giant Tree when the pillar is removed? Not many people know about this.
