On 1892, the line was extended towards Segambut, Kuang and Rawang in 1892, as a branch line from the Resident station. The railway reached Kuala Kubu Bharu in 1894 and finally Port Klang in 1899. Kuang station in older times was the starting of the 23 km-long railway branch to Batu Arang from the mainline of Malayan Railway, the line was closed in 1971. The train station is then converted to the KTM line on 3 August, 1995. Since December 2015, this station is served by the Port Klang Line of the KTM Komuter service. Previously, it was on the Rawang-Seremban Line. Museum Volunteers JMM

Kuang (كواڠ; 轟埠) is a town in Gombak District, Selangor, Malaysia. Its main importance in older times was the starting of the railway branch to Batu Arang from the mainline of Malayan Railways. Coal was first discovered in the region in 1908, when British authorities found large deposits of coal reserves that could be commercially viable and fuel a railway system. The town was established when the British started mining operations. Wikipedia

In 1915, a railway system linking Batu Arang and Kuang was built to transport coal to the rest of the country. As coal output and demand increased, rail services to and from Kuala Lumpur expanded. The demand for coal from Batu Arang skyrocketed due to the First World War, which led to a reduction of coal imports. The local coal was frequently sold to the railway companies, power stations, tin mines, dredges, and end customers. Due to the Second World War however, the coal mines have been closed permanently on January 30, 1960. Today, Kuang's main industry is cement distribution for the CIMA Company. Wikipedia

Kuala Selangor lighthouse.

Rumah Api Kuala Selangor (Kuala Selangor Lighthouse), also known as the Altingsburg Lighthouse, the structure was originally built by the Dutch in 1794, named after Lord Altingsburg of the same name.

The modern structure was refurbished in 1907 to replace the original one constructed by the Dutch two centuries later and is used extensively during the British colonial period, before it was officially reopened in 1910. The lighthouse's beacon continues to shine and function as a guide for vessels navigating the Straits of Malacca till this day. From 1826, lighthouses on the country's coastline were known as 'The Straits Settlements Lighthouses'.

The fully-functional lighthouse is now considered to be one of Bukit Malawati's defining features. Measuring at 83 metres from seabed and 27 metres from land, the lighthouse presently operates on electricity. It rotates and projects an intense beam of light that is visible up to 56 kilometres twice at every 15 seconds. Wikipedia
