Train Knights

Train Knights are all members of the Special Steel Squad, aka SSS. It is within Alliance jurisdiction and its members are made up of the cream of the crop from each and every country of Iris Cloud - St. Iris Nishiki, Eisengrad, Verforet and Flamarine . Additionally, the members of the SSS are known as Train Knights. Their main duties are working to fend off the Mist and the chaos it causes as well as protecting the Conductor (protagonist).

While a typical soldier in this universe have standard issue weapons such as handguns and grenades (the Conductor has these as well), Train Knights have superhuman abilities, be it inhumane physical strength or innate magic ability that are directly their offensive power, or indirectly via enhancing their issued weapons like guns, swords, etc. Train Knights can also gain additional strength via Iron Injections which the Conductor performs, supplying them with magic.

Gameplay

A train knight's total power is calculated as Base x Layer Multiplier Stat values are based on the Base characters "base stats" and the Layer's "layer multipliter," which multiplies the base stats.

Base Stats

Each character has its own base stats. These can be increased by completing quests and dispatch missions of relative difficulty. These base stats are the foundation for all applicable Layers, so by training base stats, all of the Layers that can be applied are strengthened as well. Detailed base stats can be accessed by going to the Party -> Character View -> Base.

Layer Multipliers

Values that further improve base stats and differ by Layer. The multiplier can also be increased by Layer Experience, Gear Experience or Memory Ranks.
